Riverside Underground Scholars (RUS) Recruitment
When it comes to recruiting carceral-impacted students, the RUS program is committed to connecting with potential students right where they are. This involves actively participating in Inland Empire Parole and Community Team meetings, creating opportunities to meet with individuals who might be interested in our program. Additionally, we make a point to attend college and transfer fairs at high schools and community colleges, ensuring that we engage with students and provide them with information about our supportive initiatives.
Furthermore, our dedication extends to attending various community events where we actively assist community members in the enrollment process for higher education. We strongly believe in being present and involved in our community, fostering meaningful connections, and supporting individuals on their journey to higher education.
