Administrative & Staff Employees

Administrative and staff employees who want to work in a multicultural setting with promising practices supporting career advancement and professional development opportunities should look to UCR. Our campus values a family friendly atmosphere and a supportive work climate emphasizing a collaborative effort between central administration and campus employees. Currently, UCR is implementing a series of staff-recommended incentive programs.
In 2006, UCR conducted a survey to assess staff’s perception of the current state of the campus climate. From the results of the survey, the Staff Assembly, union represented employees and the Vice Chancellor of Administration created three committees to formulate and implement campus initiatives to enhance campus Communications, Employee Recognition and Career Advancement Opportunities.
In concert with these efforts, Human Resources, Labor Relations, Academic Personnel, the AVC Diversity, Excellence & Equity and Affirmative Action have been working together to raise awareness of available education and training - particularly in the area of diversity - as well as developing new and innovative opportunities. Providing a positive and productive work environment calls for a campus culture that not only is diverse in its appearance, but prides itself on its cross-cultural communications and multicultural competencies.
