Community involvement is an essential part of the campus’s role as the UC of the Inland Empire. Providing educational opportunities ranging from preparing future students for higher education to offering extension courses for professional development or just the curious learner, UCR offers a variety of community accessible programs. For For younger Inland Empire residents, UCR offers sports camps and clinics as well as student success oriented efforts, such as Bourns Engineering Space, Science and Engineering Day to Healthy Body, Healthy Mind sponsored by the Alpha Center. Plus, UCR produces, sponsors and hosts a variety of public performances and activities for a diverse and multicultural audience.
