Climate Survey

Take the Survey & Make a Difference in the Future of UCR
The 2013 University of California Campus Climate Study is the largest university system climate survey in history, and we need you to be a part of it.
The survey will be conducted at each of the 10 UC campuses as well as research centers and administrative offices. It is designed to provide the Office of the President, as well as individual UC campuses, with a snapshot of the learning, living and working environments.
Want to take the survey now? Go to R'Space (Faculty and Staff) or R'Web (Students) to log in to your portal and then click the link that reads “Campus Climate Survey.”
How it Works
This survey will be conducted through the UCR Portals; R’Web for students and R’Space for staff and faculty. Don’t worry, even if you click on the wrong link, the system will know to take you to the correct portal.
Once there, look for the Campus Climate Survey link button and click on it. This button will appear under the "Alerts" section of R'Space (or R'Web for students). You will then be taken to our customized UCR survey site, hosted by Penn State University.
The survey has approximately 85 questions and should take between 22 and 35 minutes to complete. The surveying period begins on Feb. 4, 2013 and will last about eight weeks.
The first screen of the survey will look like the image below. A progress bar will indicate how far you are through the survey.
Don’t Worry! Your Results are Anonymous
In order to assure that we get unbiased results, this is a double-blind survey. That means that once you send it in, there is no way for UCR or Penn State to identify how a specific individual responded. So be honest! Responding to criticism is a way that we can improve the atmosphere on this campus and system-wide.
Visit the UCOP survey website for more information on how your confidentiality will be protected.
Thank You Gifts
Both UC Riverside and UC Office of the President will be presenting “thank you gifts” for some individuals who complete the surveys through a random drawing. The UCR drawings will be held every two weeks, so be sure to complete your survey early to be eligible for every drawing.
